Like most people, I spent the past year overhauling both my beauty products and my routine, eager to self-soothe with something comfortable and controllable amidst all of the chaos. After navigating endless new challenges at home and beyond, we at Elite Daily overhauled our take on beauty, too.

When we first launched our Glow Back To School Beauty Awards in 2018, we did so to shed light on the coolest new beauty products you needed before you headed back to school. The world has changed drastically since then, and the products we’re recommending to you now, in 2021, have as well. Regardless of whether you’re heading back to class IRL, staying remote, or tackling some hybrid version of the two, our since-renamed Glow Beauty Awards hinge less on impressing everyone on campus and more on spotlighting the best new beauty products that’ll make you feel good — the ones that’ll make you glow from the inside out, no matter where you’re headed next or what’s going on around you. Because your beauty routine, whatever it looks like, is a meaningful way to take care of — and show care for — yourself. And choosing products you truly love makes that easier and more rewarding.

After evaluating almost 2,000 beauty product submissions, we corralled 50 eager product testers to judge more than 200 impressive finalists over several weeks. Now, we’re thrilled to introduce the 40 Elite Daily Glow Beauty Award winners of 2021 — the new, innovative releases across makeup, skin care, hair care, beauty tools, and beauty accessories that outshined the competition.
