Aimee Lou Wood Breaks Her Silence On Walton Goggins

There may be an end to The White Lotus drama after all. Rumors of tension has been following the cast of Season 3 since February when Jason Isaacs confirmed “off-screen drama.” Then in April, fans noticed that Walton Goggins and Aimee Lou Wood no longer followed each other on Instagram despite playing the onscreen couple Rick and Chelsea. Things got even more intense when Goggins refused to discuss Wood during a recent interview, but it seems like the tides have turned.
On May 5, fans noticed that Goggins and Wood re-followed each other on Instagram. Later that night, they both attended the Met Gala — and Wood (who walked the carpet with Patrick Schwarzenegger) even answered a question about her former co-star on the red carpet. When Entertainment Tonight asked if she’d be willing to guest star on Goggins’ upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live, Wood said she’d be down.
“Yeah, it would be fun. I loved working with Walton. It was the best thing ever,” she told ET. “He’s going to be incredible doing SNL. It’s the perfect thing for him to do. It’s going to be hilarious. I’m so excited to see it.” (Goggins is set to host SNL on May 10.)
Wood’s comments come after Goggins had a tense May 1 interview with The London Times. During the conversation, Goggins refused to answer any questions about Wood or address the drama rumors. “I’m not gonna have that conversation,” Goggins told reporter Ed Potton when asked if he’d “fallen out” with his cast mate.
“We’re not going there, thank you,” his publicist added at the time. “Next question,” another PR rep said.
According to Potton, things went “off the rails” later when he asked Goggins if he would be reuniting with Wood anytime soon, which the actor did not answer. “Shall we talk about The Uninvited a bit more?” his rep asked. (The Uninvited is Goggins’ latest movie, which he was promoting in the interview.) Goggins added, “Thinly veiled, my friend. The thing you’re least interested in.”
When Potton pushed, Goggins shut down the discussion. “There is no conversation to be had about that. Sharing politics on social media — it’s in a vacuum.” But Potton tried one more time, prompting Goggins to chastise him: “What the f*ck, Ed! Come on buddy. Wow.”
“We’re going to end it there,” his PR rep said, cutting the conversation short.
At the time, Goggins’ silence on the subject was a departure from how he handled questions about Wood in early 2025. “We became very close very quickly. She was the person that mattered most to me during this experience, even though my friends were there,” Goggins told People in February. “We both became enmeshed in each other, the way that Rick and Chelsea are. I think the world of her.”
Wood also said that they were “very close” during filming in a Vanity Fair red carpet interview back in February. Seems like that friendship is now back on track.
