A devotee of drag for nearly 30 years, Elyssa’s first book, Glitter and Concrete: A Cultural History of Drag in New York City, will be published on September 12, 2023 by Hanover Square Press/HarperCollins and is now available for pre-order. She is also the host and curator of the Miss Manhattan Non-Fiction Reading Series. Elyssa is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University.
