Jake Viswanath is a Staff Writer at Bustle, where he covers music, film, TV, and all things celebrity. He joined the team in March 2019, working closely with editors across the entertainment team to create news stories, long-form features, and reaction pieces. Jake takes ownership of many pop culture beats across Bustle, including everything Taylor Swift, the #FreeBritney movement, The Kardashians, Vanderpump Rules, and the Bravo-sphere as a whole. He also helps develop and execute live coverage for major music releases, TV events, and award shows.
Prior to Bustle, Jake was an Assistant Digital Editor at V Magazine, where he worked across digital and print platforms focusing on fashion, music, and culture features, and an Assistant Editor for PAPER Magazine’s Pride initiative, creating and editing LGBTQ+ entertainment content. Jake's bylines have also appeared in NYLON and PopCrush. He earned his bachelor's degree in journalism and English from New York University.
When Jake isn’t investigating Taylor Swift’s easter eggs or watching Bravo for Bustle, you can find him at Britney Spears trivia night, getting in his 10,000 steps at Bergdorf, or playing Kylie Minogue’s “Padam Padam” to anyone who will listen. He is up for traveling anywhere he can go — especially if Lady Gaga or Beyoncé are there.
You can follow Jake on Twitter and Instagram at @jakeviswacare, and connect with him on LinkedIn.
